ACF invests in Business Report
Thanks to funding secured from the Advantage Creative Fund and the Black Country Reinvestment Society, a niche business publisher is planning to expand its operations at a time when many companies are making cutbacks.
The new funding will enable the bi monthly publication Business Report, to take advantage of a growth in demand while helping to achieve plans for further expansion and penetration into the media market
The deal will also see the Wolverhampton based company initially creating five new jobs at its Science Park headquarters.
“We think Business Report has an exciting future, not just in the Black Country but across the regions elsewhere,” said Rex Bird, investment manager at Advantage Creative Fund.
“We are very pleased to welcome them on board.”
Business Report currently reaches 25,000 business people in the West Midlands and Staffordshire and plans are in the pipeline to roll out a new edition covering the Birmingham area.
The company’s managing director Jason Pitt, said: "We are delighted to have Advantage Creative Fund on board as investors in the business, it is testament to the success we have already achieved and really allows us to take the business to the next level.
“ We will be creating five new jobs, which is welcome news for the creative sector in light of the current trend where many media firms are making cutbacks.
“Our business model will be rolled out into Birmingham and other cities over the next three years, with the aim of creating a network of regional dedicated business titles.”
